“UWAN” MAINTAINS ITS STRENGTH AS LIFE-THREATENING CONDITIONS CONTINUE OVER BICOL REGION.

• Location of Center (10:00 AM):

The center of the eye of Super Typhoon UWAN was estimated based on all available data including those from Baler and Daet Doppler  Weather Radar over the coastal waters of Pandan, Catanduanes (14.3°N, 124.4°E)

• Intensity: Maximum sustained winds of 185 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 230 km/h, and central pressure of 935 hPa

•Present Movement: West northwestward at 30 km/h

• TCWS No. 3: #Batangas

Wind threat: Storm-force winds

•Potential impacts of winds: Moderate to significant threat to life and property

• The public and disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to take all necessary measures to protect life and property.
