Based on the released heavy rainfall outlook by DOST-PAGASA, the Province of Batangas is expected to experience moderate to heavy (50-100 mm) rainfall in the next few days, starting today, 21 September 2025, due to effects of Southwest Monsoon enhanced by Super Typhoon #NandoPH.

As precautionary measure and to ensure the safety of Batangueรฑos, Governor Vilma Santos-Recto, upon the recommendation of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC), declares the SUSPENSION OF CLASSES in ALL LEVELS, both PUBLIC and PRIVATE, in the ENTIRE PROVINCE OF BATANGAS, tomorrow, MONDAY, 22 September 2025.

In view of the suspension of in-person classes, all schools may shift to modular distance learning or any other possible alternative delivery mode of education, as per the Department of Education (DepEd).

Meanwhile, WORK in GOVERNMENT OFFICES in the Executive Branch shall be suspended starting at 1:00 PM tomorrow, 22 September 2025, in observance of "Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga Day," as announced by Malacaรฑang thru Memorandum Circular No. 96.
