The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Balete, Batangas formally received the endorsed action plan entitled “Addressing Volcanic Eruption and Public Health: A Multi-Hazard Action Plan in Balete, Batangas” on July 16, 2025.

Authored by Mr. Ruel S. De Castro, the action plan provides a comprehensive framework for disaster preparedness and public health response, with a particular focus on the compound threats posed by volcanic activity and health-related emergencies.

The document was officially handed over to Ms. Jocelyn M. Tangpuz, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer (MDRRMO) of Balete, Batangas.
